Step touch dance cardio
This is by far the easiest form of cardio- dance cardio step touching- where at least one foot is always on the ground.
Video Streaming for Beginners There is step touching cardio included within this workout, it is more difficult then the method for beginners cardio in that there isn’t any direction given, you just have to follow along and it’s also a longer cardio section.
TAVA Beyonce 7/11 This is slightly harder in that you have to learn the choreography but there’s a really thorough breakdown section.
TAVA Heavenly There is less of a breakdown in this section making it slightly harder, but the cardio time is only 1 minute.
TAVA Destinys Child Lose My Breath Unfortunately this workout doesn’t contain much of a breakdown section.
TAVA The TAVA on this DVD is harder than the TAVA in streaming because the dances have such short breakdowns and the rhythm in these dances is different to what we’re accustomed to.
Mini trampoline workouts
I recommend doing the mini trampoline workouts before you progress onto dance cardio as it’s a lot kinder on your joints, easy to follow and doesn’t require as much stamina as dance cardio.
Tracy Anderson’s Total Body Mini Trampoline Workout Start with this workout as it’s shorter then the other trampoline workouts so it will give you time to build your stamina before you progress.
Unchoreographed Dance Cardio
Following from the mini trampoline workouts I would recommend you move onto the unchoreographed dance cardio dvds next, although it can be difficult initially as you’re unsure as to what Tracy is going to do next, if you remember that most moves are repeated 4 or 8 times you should be fine and once you’ve done the DVDs a few times you will know them off by heart.
Cardio Dance for Beginners. The dance routines are split into 15 minute sections, Tracy gives thorough instructions and there is very little jumping.
Tracy Anderson Dance + Cardio After the movement section in The Method for Beginners and Cardio Dance for Beginners this is the next easiest Tracy Anderson Dance Cardio DVD. There is an extensive warm up section and the majority of the movements are step touching.
30 day method. Next you should progress onto this cardio DVD as it’s easier (less jumping) then Cardio Dance Express, Teen Meta and the Metamorphosis cardio segments and also the routines are the shortest of the unchoreographed dance DVDs- only 10 minutes long each.
Cardio Dance Express These segments are also only 10 minutes long with stretching at the beginning and end of each segment. It’s harder than 30 day method as there is more jumping
Teen Meta Unchoreographed cardio. This DVD is 20 minutes long so you should follow this before progressing onto Metamorphosis.
Metamorphosis The metamorphosis and continuity cardio DVD/s are all around 30 minutes long.
Choreographed Dance Cardio
Beginner Dance Cardio From doing the meta cardio DVDs you will have built up your stamina and be more familar with Tracy’s moves. The Beginner Dance Cardio DVD is a good place to start with the choreographed DVDs as it’s obviously for beginners.
Dance Aerobics This is probably the second easiest of the choreographed dance cardio DVDs, the routines are pretty basic and the moves aren’t as complicated as her other choreographed dance cardio DVDs.
Teen Meta Choreographed Routine
Dance Cardio 2 This is an advanced dance cardio DVD so should be left until later on.
Unleash Your Inner Popstar These dances are slightly more complicated than dance cardio 2 so do these last.
Video Streaming Once you’ve learnt all of Tracy’s routines a good place to progress to is the 25 minute cardio segment that’s available on video streaming as this routine combines a number of her different routines, which would be difficult to follow along to if you didn’t already know the routines. Within the streaming that is released each week Tracy generally does 2 songs worth of unchoreographed cardio which are easy to follow along with.
Speed Agility/High Intensity Interval Training
Transform These workouts are hardcore, they involve a lot of full body work- running push ups, jumps squats, all sorts, they’re definitely more jarring on your joints then her other workouts and will torch more calories.
