This recipe is vegan and detox friendly and is a really yummy filling breakfast. Oats are a perfect breakfast food as they provide you with a sustained release of energy and they can also help lower blood cholesterol and are a good source of soluble fibre, magnesium and zinc. Soaking the oats in milk makes them softer and easier to digest. The summer berries are packed with vitamin c and the linseeds are good for your heart. This recipe serves 4
- 175g oats
- 300ml rice, almond or oat milk
- 2 tablespoons sultanas
- 2 tablespoons toasted flaked almonds, chopped hazelnuts or cashews
- 2 tablespoons linseeds
- 225g berry fruits
- 1 apple peeled and grated
In a large bowl mix together all of the ingredients apart from the berry fruits and the apple, cover and leave overnight.
Serve with the berry fruits and grated apple.
