This recipe is yummy and filling although not quite as satisfying as some of the other Carol Vorderman porridge recipes such as Banana porridge with honey. This recipe is vegetarian, vegan, wheat free, dairy free and gluten free and is from Carol Vorderman’s Summer Detox book.
Makes 4 servings
- 175g porridge oats
- 250ml rice, sesame or almond milk
- 250ml water
- 1-2 tablespoons linseed oil
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons raisins
- 2 tablespoons chopped toasted almonds
Mix the oats, milk and water in a saucepan and bring to the boil, cooking for about 5 minutes and stir frequently.
Stir in the linseed oil, cinnamon, raisins and nuts and then serve.
