Dr Perricone’s Fruit Smoothie

photo (3)I used coconut yogurt instead of plain yogurt as having dairy yogurt disagrees with me. This is a really light and yummy smoothie, you can taste the coconut yogurt quite strongly, but it’s still a tasty drink. It’s not as filling or satisfying as the Cherry Almond Smoothie (which contains nuts and nut butter as well). This recipe is suitable for those following Perricone‘s diet, vegetarians and if you use coconut yogurt it’s also suitable for vegans. This is wheat free, gluten free and sugar free.

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 1 nectarine or peach- pitted, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 cup of plain yogurt (I used coconut yogurt as dairy disagrees with me)
  • 1 tsp lime or lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • lime zest
  • 2 scoops of whey protein (optional- I didn’t use this)

Blend then serve.
