Strawberry and Kiwi Fruit Smoothie

photo (15)This drink is really refreshing, the ice makes it nice and frothy and it tastes really delicious and fruity. The vitamin C from the fruits will boost your energy levels. The linseeds are rich in heart healthy omega 3 oils and are powerful intestinal cleaner. This recipe is wheat free, gluten free and dairy free and is suitable for vegetarians, vegans and those following a detox. This recipe is from Carol Vorderman‘s cookbook “Detox Recipes”.

Makes 2 drinks

  • 1 cupful of crushed ice
  • 125g strawberries
  • 1 kiwi
  • 1 banana
  • 150ml apple juice
  • 1 tablespoon ground linseeds

Put the ice, strawberries, kiwi, banana and apple juice in your blender and blend until smooth. Add the ground linseeds and blend again.
