This is really milky and creamy- you’ll think you’re drinking a milkshake and the banana and tofu makes it nicely filling. My husband says he hates tofu but he really loves this drink and couldn’t believe there was tofu in it. The tofu is a great source of protein and calcium. This recipe is wheat free, gluten free, sugar free and dairy free and is suitable for vegetarians, vegans and those following a detox. This is from Carol Vorderman’s “Detox Recipes“.
Makes 2 drinks
- 150g silken tofu
- 2 bananas, peeled and roughly chopped
- 400ml apple juice
- 2 teaspoons linseeds
- 10 ice cubes
Put the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
