Orange and Mango Smoothie

photo (44)This is really nice and thick and zingy! You could almost chew it as you drink it. The oranges and papayas are rich in vitamin C, the mangoes and papayas are rich in betacarotene, which is great for healthy skin and combating free radicals. The banana provides potassium and vitamin B6. This recipe is wheat free, gluten free, sugar free and dairy free and is suitable for vegetarians, vegans and those following a detox. This recipe is from Carol Vorderman’s “Detox Recipes”.

Makes 2 drinks

  • 1 orange, peeled and segmented
  • 1 mango, halved, peeled and stone removed
  • Half a small papaya, peeled, seeded and chopped
  • 1 small banana, peeled
  • Crushed ice

Put the ingredients in a smoothie maker and blend until smooth.
