This recipe is really delish- smooth, ice cold mango, it tastes really sweet and sugary but of course that’s just the natural sugars of the mango. It tastes too good to be true and better than ice cream! I’ve just finished a bowl and now I want to go and make myself another one! As this recipe only contains mangos it is wheat free, sugar free, gluten free, dairy free and suitable for vegetarians, vegans and those following a detox. This is an amazing alternative to shop bought sorbet as it contains no sugar or artificial additives. This recipe is from Carol Vorderman’s “Summer Detox”
Makes 4 servings
- 2 ripe mangoes
Slice through the mango either side of the stone, peel and then cut the flesh into cubes. Put in a covered container and freeze for several hours.
Put the frozen mango cubes into a blender and blend for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
